G’day Panthers’ fans!

Hello everyone. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is James Dator and I am the new author of realbitsofpanthers.com
As you might have guessed from my not so subtle title I am indeed from Australia, however I now live in North Carolina. I have been a die hard Carolina Panthers fan ever since their inception in 1995 and remain as resolute and passionate about the team as I did back then.
Some of you may know me by my pen name over at catscratchreader.com James the Aussie, where I have been a writer and editor for the better of eight months. Prior to this my Panther based rantings and ravings were privy to only those surrounding office water coolers, or those unfortunate enough to get me started on the team at parties.
As Carolina Panther fans I think we have a lot to look forward to in the 2010 season. While there is bound to be a lot of turmoil to start the season with the new CBA negotiations, and the Julius Peppers saga I believe the team will settle into a very productive 2010 campaign. I truly believe the Panthers have the opportunity to make big waves this season, and while I would never prematurely predict playoffs or Superbowl appearances I am very optimistic about our chances.
Before we can all jump in depth and talk about the team I do have a couple of simple ground rules I would like people to follow while visiting the site. First and foremost, have fun! This is our NFL team and the more people commenting and opening a dialogue the better, no only for the betterment of the blog, but for the Panthers’ community. Secondly, if you are addressing a fellow commentator, please keep your comments civil. Treat people as you would like to be treated and we can create a free atmosphere where we can cheer and vent our frustrations together.
